The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday questioned Trinamool Congress MLA Tapas Saha for nearly four hours concerning alleged recruitment irregularities in state government departments, an official stated.

In addition to the grilling session, the central agency collected Saha's voice sample.

Alongside the TMC's Tehatta legislator, two other individuals were summoned by the CBI on Friday in relation to the alleged scam.

"We collected the legislator's voice sample in addition to asking him questions regarding the irregularities in state government recruitment," an official disclosed.

The investigation also revealed the involvement of Saha's personal secretary and another close associate in the alleged scam.

Last year, the CBI conducted a 15-hour search operation at Saha's residence as part of their probe.
