The Delhi Police has arrested a 24-year-old man and recovered over 100 kilograms of psychotropic drugs worth around Rs 50 lakh, officials said on Monday. The accused have been identified as Vimlesh Das, a resident of Uttam Nagar, they said. Earlier, on September 14, two drug peddlers were arrested with psychotropic drugs worth Rs 25 lakh in Tilak Nagar, police said. During investigation of the case, police on Friday arrested Das from his rental residence, Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Ghanshyam Bansal said. On the instance of the accused, a total of 104.112 kilograms Tramadol (2,16,000 tablets) worth Rs about 50 lakh was recovered from his rented premise in Uttam Nagar, the DCP said.
