During an address in Dubai, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar underscored the evolving India-UAE relationship, attributing the progress to pivotal collaborations in sectors like fintech, renewable energy, and education. He emphasized the impacts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's landmark visit in 2015, which has since propelled the bilateral ties to unprecedented heights.
Jaishankar pointedly described the initiatives like Rupay and UPI as groundbreaking, underscoring the comprehensive economic partnership and defense collaborations that have emerged. He cited the launch of the Symbiosis International University's campus in Dubai as emblematic of the bustling educational exchanges between the two countries.
India and the UAE, having established diplomatic relations in the early '70s, are seeing a refreshed vigor in their partnership with agreements like the 2022 Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. This acceleration has been accompanied by numerous high-level exchanges, including visits from UAE leaders attending summits and fostering deeper cultural and educational ties.
