Union Minister Pralhad Joshi inaugurated 10 battery-operated vehicles in Puri, designed to offer eco-friendly transport for temple visitors. The launch is part of broader efforts to integrate sustainable solutions at cultural sites, underscoring India's commitment to renewable energy.
Joshi also opened a two-day Chintan Shivir in Bhubaneswar, a platform discussing India's renewable energy future. With significant growth in non-fossil energy, including a dramatic increase in solar capacity, the event aims to chart the course toward reaching 500 GW by 2030.
The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency will ensure the longevity of these vehicles, mirroring India's holistic approach to sustainability. Both central and state governments are urged to collaborate to meet ambitious energy goals.
