The recent London Ram Leela, held on October 26-27, captivated audiences with vibrant performances of the timeless Ramayana. Organized by Sutton Friends at Tolworth Recreation Centre, the event attracted thousands, both in-person and online, showcasing the cultural pride and community spirit of London's Indian diaspora.

Sutton Friends represents over 3,000 Indian-origin families in and around Sutton. Operating under "Indian Friends of Sutton," the group is dedicated to preserving and celebrating cultural heritage, introducing it to a broader audience. Volunteers, led by Praveen Kumar and supported by key figures like Ashish Jain and Amol Chaudhary, played a vital role in the event's success.

Esteemed guests included European and UK political figures and cultural representatives. The event embraced Diwali's spirit with food stalls and a themed market, culminating in a fireworks display each evening. According to Event Director Parveen Kumar, the Ram Leela served as a platform for cultural connection, community unity, and celebration.
