The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has reported significant growth in the emirate's economic indicators for the third quarter of 2024. According to SEDD, a total of 17,981 business licenses were issued or renewed, representing a 16% growth during this period.
Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of SEDD, emphasized that these figures point to continuously growing investment activity and sustainable economic development in Sharjah. Business confidence in the emirate's investment prospects is reflected by these encouraging statistics.
Deputy Director of the Registration and Licensing Department, Khalid Al Suwaidi, noted that commercial licenses led the charge with 1,267 issued in Q3, followed by professional, industrial, and e-commerce licenses. The industrial branches and geographical areas within Sharjah also reported notable progress in license issuance, underscoring robust regional economic activities.
