The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) is preparing to host the 11th Sharjah International Library Conference (SILC) from November 9th to 10th at the Expo Centre Sharjah. This significant event occurs concurrently with the 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair, attracting both in-person and virtual participants globally.

As the only American Library Association (ALA)-affiliated conference outside the United States, SILC 2024 is a key platform for library professionals to delve into modern advancements. Over 400 experts from 30+ nations, including 100 librarians from the UAE, will engage in discussions under the theme 'Integrating AI into Library Services and Advancing AI Literacy'.

The conference will address AI's role in enhancing library efficiency and user experience through workshops and panel discussions, focusing on innovation and community building within libraries. Additionally, SILC offers unparalleled networking opportunities and showcases the latest library products and services in an exclusive Exhibitor Zone.
