COGAT Urges UN to Expedite Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

In an urgent call to action, the Israeli Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) highlighted delays in the United Nations' distribution of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Approximately 600 truckloads of essentials are reportedly stuck, awaiting pickup and delivery mainly by UN aid agencies.
COGAT has criticized the pace at which aid is being managed, despite numerous efforts to facilitate its transition into the Gaza Strip. Measures include an expanded option at Gate 96, the new northern crossing, and coordinated pickups at various hours to improve traffic flow to crossings like Kerem Shalom.
In the past 24 hours, COGAT has successfully transferred 47 humanitarian trucks to northern Gaza, along with fuel tankers and a UNICEF mission. The agency maintains its commitment to ensure aid reaches Gazans in need promptly.
