The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) of Seychelles, marking a significant step towards enhancing audit cooperation between the two countries. This agreement aims to facilitate collaboration and the exchange of expertise in auditing.

The MoU lays the groundwork for a collaborative platform where auditors can share knowledge and experiences, ultimately honing their capacity to conduct audits more effectively. Expressing optimism, Girish Chandra Murmu, the CAG of India, emphasized the potential for this partnership to elevate existing bilateral relations.

In a series of meetings during his visit, Murmu highlighted the crucial role of audit institutions. In talks with Seychelles' parliamentary officials, discussions centered on the collaboration between Supreme Audit Institutions and Public Accounts Committees, underscoring their role in fulfilling legislative mandates.
