Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with the Indian diaspora upon his arrival in Vientiane, Laos, where he was met with enthusiasm outside his hotel. The warm reception included several Laotian dignitaries, such as Laos' Minister of Home Affairs and the city Mayor, signaling robust diplomatic ties.

Amid a critical two-day visit, Modi's schedule features participation in the 21st ASEAN-India and the 19th East Asia Summits. This visit highlights a decade since India's Act East Policy initiation. His arrival in Vientiane was marked by interactions with the local Indian community and a vibrant Bihu dance performance, which he praised warmly.

Further enriching his visit, PM Modi took part in prayers led by Buddhist monks in Laos, showcasing the spiritual connections between the two nations. The Ministry of External Affairs shared images of the event, underlining India's commitment to preserving shared cultural heritage, notably through cooperation on Laos' historical temple conservation projects.
