In a dramatic turn of events, a physical altercation erupted in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Tuesday, prompting authorities to ban guest entries, as reported by ARY News. An official statement confirmed that visitors will now require explicit permission from the Speaker to access the assembly.

The chaos began when opposition lawmakers were denied a chance to speak, escalating tensions that culminated in a session marred by violence. The confrontation between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf members Niak Wazir and Iqbal Wazir quickly escalated as other members joined the fray with fists and kicks, leading to a 15-minute session adjournment to restore order.

This incident has raised serious concerns about the security and dignity of the legislative process. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly proceedings were overseen by Mushtaq Ghani in his final session as Speaker before PTI's Babar Saleem Swati, who was sworn in earlier this year. Meanwhile, Ihsan Ullah Khan of the Peoples Party received 17 votes during the election, compared to Swati's 89 votes, as reported by ANI.
