South Korean Ambassador Chang Jae bok, in a recent discussion with ANI, expressed optimism about the deepening relations between India and South Korea, particularly through cultural and people-to-people exchanges. He hinted at possible high-level visits between the two countries, though he remained tight-lipped about the specifics of these anticipated diplomatic engagements.
Speaking at the Hangeul Day celebrations at Apeejay School in Panchsheel, Ambassador Chang celebrated the enthusiasm of the students for Korean culture. 'I was touched by the school's warm welcome and amazed by the students' enthusiasm for Hangeul and Korean culture,' he remarked, while also acknowledging the critical role of such cultural exchanges in strengthening bilateral ties.
In light of ongoing global conflicts, the ambassador stressed the importance of close collaboration between the Indian and Korean governments. He referenced the long-standing diplomatic relations established in 1973 and recent bilateral meetings, reflecting on the shared strategic interests in trade, investment, and technological advancement.
