Labour Councillor Singh Advocates for India's Role in Global Conflicts

UK Labour Party Councillor Abhimanyu Singh stated that India has a significant role to play during the ongoing conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. Singh underscored India's global respect and its potential to use goodwill for facilitating a peace formula in Ukraine.
Speaking with ANI, Singh called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. He emphasized that Labour Party supports a two-state solution, creating a modern state of Israel and a Palestinian state. Singh urged the Anglo-American alliance to intervene promptly, asserting that violence must stop on both sides to prevent further escalation.
During his visit to Varanasi for personal reasons, Singh also mentioned the historical ties between the Labour Party and India. He noted that Indian leaders like Lokmanya Tilak financially supported the Labour Party in the early 1900s. Highlighting Labour's role in India's independence, Singh praised significant leaders like Keir Starmer and hoped for swift resolution of current internal party issues.
