Pakistan Peoples' Party Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has committed to transforming Pakistan's judicial landscape. On Tuesday, he pledged to introduce reforms to the country's constitution, as reported by ARY News. He emphasized the need to implement the Charter of Democracy, saying, "We will implement the Charter of Democracy."

Bhutto's remarks came during an address and Q&A session with lawyers of the Sindh High Court Bar. He highlighted the need for a constitutional court and the necessity of providing swift justice to the people of Pakistan. "The constitutional court has been necessary and a compulsion," Bhutto stated. "We want to provide justice to common people."

He added that 15 per cent of cases related to the constitution and law take up 90 per cent of court time, proposing that the Federal Constitutional Court handle these cases. Bhutto stressed the importance of empowering the judicial system for immediate justice. Addressing lawyers, he lauded Pakistan's 1973 constitution for uniting and strengthening the country. "If today Pakistan is united and powerful, it is because of our 1973 constitution," he said.

Earlier on September 14, while speaking to media representatives at Parliament House, Bhutto had underlined the importance of bolstering the Charter of Democracy and fostering better inter-party cooperation.
