On Thursday, former President Donald Trump quashed any hopes for a second debate with Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the upcoming US presidential election, declaring he would not participate. Despite mixed polling results, Trump maintains he won their recent debate.

"When a prizefighter loses a fight, he demands a rematch," Trump posted on Truth Social, asserting, "Polls show I won against Comrade Kamala Harris, yet she called for a second debate." Trump claimed that issues like immigration and inflation were thoroughly discussed in both Tuesday's debate and his June debate with President Biden.

In a scathing critique of the Biden-Harris administration, Trump argued they have "destroyed" the country. He accused them of allowing unchecked immigration and causing inflation that harms the middle class. Trump further stated that Harris was a "no-show" at several debates and should concentrate on her duties from the past four years.

Harris and Trump officially accepted their party's nominations earlier this year, with the presidential election slated for November 5. Notably, Biden, after expressing concerns about his performance due to age in an earlier debate, exited the race and endorsed Harris. Their latest debate marked Harris's first major clash with Trump since her nomination.
