Israeli President Isaac Herzog is set to embark on groundbreaking state visits to Albania and Serbia, marking a historic milestone as the first Israeli leader to visit the predominantly Muslim country of Albania. The two-day trip aims to fortify security, strategic, and political alliances amid ongoing regional tensions.

Joining Herzog is Idit Ohel, mother of Israeli hostage Alon Ohel. 'Close friends of Israel, these countries extend unwavering support in many international forums,' noted Herzog's office, emphasizing the crucial security and strategic partnerships.

Herzog's itinerary in Serbia includes high-level diplomatic meetings with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister Milos Vucevic, and Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic. In Albania, he will engage with President Bajram Begaj, Prime Minister Edi Rama, and Speaker Elisa Spiropali. The visit will also honor Holocaust survivors and foster economic ties through a delegation of Israeli business leaders.
