Chairperson of the Indian Overseas Congress, Sam Pitroda, stated that Rahul Gandhi and he are meeting a significant number of people from Capitol Hill during Gandhi's U.S. visit. Pitroda highlighted Gandhi's packed schedule, which included events in Dallas and Washington, D.C.

In Dallas, Gandhi participated in a fireside chat with students, attended a community event attracting nearly 4,000 people, and joined a community dinner. In Washington, they engaged in meetings with the administration, interacted with students at Georgetown University, and planned further engagements.

Addressing the upcoming meetings on Capitol Hill, Pitroda mentioned plans to converse with several congressmen while emphasizing non-political discussions. Pitroda also expressed concerns about the fairness of India's 2024 general elections, suggesting the electronic voting system and media bias as issues but praised the electorate's commitment to democracy.
