Rajasthan CM Invites South Korean Investors at Seoul Meet for 'Rising Rajasthan' Summit 2024

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma led a high-level delegation during an investors' meet in Seoul on Monday, urging South Korean businesses to explore investment opportunities in Rajasthan. This event was the first international investors' meet ahead of the 'Rising Rajasthan' Global Investment Summit 2024, scheduled for December.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sharma outlined his administration's goal to double the state's economy from $180 billion to $350 billion within five years. He assured investors that the state is committed to improving business processes and policies, emphasizing ease of doing business. "The Government of Rajasthan aims to build a long-term partnership with South Korea and is soon launching new policies to enhance the business-friendly environment in the state," Sharma said.
Chief Minister Sharma held one-on-one meetings with executives from major South Korean firms, including POSCO International, SG Corporation, and Hanwha Solution, discussing potential investments in infrastructure, chemicals, startups, and tourism. A special investor meet showcased Rajasthan's tourism sector, including its UNESCO sites and the heritage train, 'Palace on Wheels'. India's Ambassador to South Korea, Amit Kumar, endorsed Rajasthan as an emerging investment destination, highlighting the upcoming 'Rising Rajasthan' summit's role in fostering new business ventures.
