Islamabad Court Issues Arrest Warrant for KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur Over Firearms Recovery

In a dramatic turn of events, an Islamabad court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in connection with the recovery of firearms and liquor. According to ARY News, the court rejected Gandapur's request for a medical exemption as the hearing commenced.
Presiding over the case, Judge Shaista Khan Kundi instructed the SHO of Bhara Kahu police station to arrest Gandapur and present him in court the following day. The case stems from an earlier incident in which authorities recovered weapons and alcohol from the CM's vehicle.
Further details reveal that on October 30, 2016, police intercepted Gandapur's vehicle en route to former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's residence. A search yielded firearms, ammunition, and other items. Items were exhibited at the Bara Kahu police station, including bulletproof jackets and Kalashnikov rifles. The court has also demanded Gandapur's personal appearance to address nine specific queries related to the case.
