Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned the British government's decision to suspend thirty arms licences to Israel. He asserted that Israel remains steadfast in its determination to emerge victorious in the conflict regardless of the UK's support. 'With or without British arms, Israel will win this war and secure our common future,' stated the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel on X.

The Prime Minister denounced the move as 'shameful' and said it would not deter Israel's resolve to defeat Hamas. 'Instead of standing with Israel, a fellow democracy defending itself against barbarism, Britain's misguided decision will only embolden Hamas,' he said. He highlighted that Hamas had murdered 1,200 people on October 7, including 14 British citizens, and is holding over 100 hostages, among them 5 British citizens.

This announcement came after the UK decided to suspend 30 out of 350 arms export licences to Israel, citing a 'clear risk' of these arms being used in serious breaches of international humanitarian law. Foreign Secretary David Lammy informed parliament that the partial ban affects items potentially used in the current Gaza conflict but does not include parts for F-35 fighter jets.

'Israel is engaging in a just war with just means, taking unprecedented measures to avoid civilian casualties and adhering fully to international law,' Netanyahu said. He drew a parallel between Israel's fight against Hamas and Britain's battle against the Nazis during World War II, asserting that history would view Israel's stand against Hamas and Iran's axis of terror as vital in defending common civilization.

Netanyahu emphasized that Israel is conducting a just war with measures to minimize civilian harm and adhering to international law. 'Israel is engaging in a just war with just means, taking unprecedented measures to avoid civilian casualties and adhering fully to international law,' he reiterated. (ANI)
