Abu Dhabi [UAE], September 2 (ANI/WAM): In a strategic initiative to modernize its healthcare framework, the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DoH) has inaugurated the first Emirati Advisory Doctors Committee. This committee includes DoH executives and 14 prominent Emirati clinicians and researchers from leading healthcare institutions in Abu Dhabi.

The committee is chaired by Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of DoH, and intends to create a continuous dialogue between the department and on-ground practitioners. It will assess the evolving healthcare landscape and pinpoint opportunities for improvements in various medical fields like oncology, mental health, cardiovascular diseases, and more.

The Deputy Chairman is Noura Al Ghaithi, Under-Secretary of DoH. The committee facilitates a two-way communication stream for gaining insights into challenges and providing feedback on new standards. Expert members will contribute strategic insights on research, innovation, and industry trends, enhancing patient care and positioning Abu Dhabi as a leader in global healthcare research and innovation. Al Mansoori highlighted the initiative's goal to foster a healthier Abu Dhabi and enhance the emirate's healthcare sector by integrating the latest research and crucial on-ground insights.

The committee has held its inaugural meeting and plans quarterly gatherings to address industry trends and challenges. Members, representing a broad spectrum of specialties, include notable figures like Ghadeera Saeed Al Mansoori of SSMC and Khaled Al Dahmani of Tawam Hospital. Their collaboration aims to solidify Abu Dhabi's regulatory framework further and empower healthcare professionals to shape the sector's future in alignment with DoH's commitment to comprehensive and agile healthcare services.
