Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has hinted that former Prime Minister Imran Khan might face a military trial, ARY News reported. Speaking on a private news channel, Asif stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) must apologize for the May 9 events; otherwise, no dialogue will occur.

He mentioned that 24 civilian cases were tried in military courts during the PTI-led government, with many receiving death sentences. Asif noted that if Khan is tried in a military court, it would be an open trial to reveal the 'negative' designs of the PTI founder.

Asif asserted that Khan and former ISI chief Faiz Hameed continued their relationship even after May 9, sharing a common goal. Following Khan's arrest in May, PTI-led protests turned into riots, some targeting military installations. Khan has faced multiple charges, but his incarceration continues, dimming his chances of release.
