Highlighting the inconsistency across states, Trump remarked that no one should be criminalized in Florida for something that is legal elsewhere. He called for legislative measures that prevent the criminalization of adults possessing personal amounts and avoid fentanyl-laced marijuana deaths. According to Pew Research Centre, while marijuana remains illegal under federal law, about three-quarters of states have legalized it for medical or recreational purposes.
