The administration of Adiala Jail has refuted reports suggesting that former Prime Minister Imran Khan's prison facilities have been revoked. ARY News has verified that Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), continues to receive all amenities as per the jail manual, according to the superintendent of Central Jail Rawalpindi.

The superintendent stated that Khan is provided with two helpers during the day and is permitted to meet with family members and lawyers, as well as hold political meetings twice a week. Furthermore, Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have access to a separate kitchen. Khan also enjoys the facility of a television in his cell.

Additional privileges include daily delivery of an English newspaper and access to an exercise area and equipment. Meanwhile, security agencies have intensified their investigations, arresting six more members of the jail staff for allegedly assisting Khan. The detained personnel include a sweeper, two lady wardens, and three CCTV monitoring staff. Security officials have seized mobile phones from jail employees amid allegations of message exchanges between Bushra Bibi and Khan.

Ex-deputy superintendent Zafar Iqbal, previously detained for aiding Khan, has been released. Khan, aged 71, has been incarcerated since August 2023 on various charges, including the Toshakhana, cypher, and unlawful marriage cases. Although some convictions have been overturned, his release prospects remain bleak due to ongoing cases related to the May 9, 2023, riots.
