Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), led by Imran Khan, has postponed its scheduled rally on August 27 due to administrative challenges, ARY News reported on Sunday. The local administration's refusal to grant permission led to the postponement, as confirmed by PTI Information Secretary Shaukat Mahmood Basra.

The decision comes despite a Lahore High Court (LHC) ruling permitting the rally. Basra announced that PTI had chosen to reschedule after failing to secure the necessary approvals from local authorities. He also mentioned plans to sue the administration for non-compliance with the court's order.

PTI now intends to hold the rally after September 8, pending approval. This is not the first rally to face postponement; a public meeting in Tarnol was also deferred on August 22 due to internal party disputes. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif suggested that the postponement reflects PTI's declining popularity rather than external interference. Meanwhile, PTI leaders offered varying explanations, further fueling speculation.
