Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's groundbreaking visit to Ukraine, emphasizing its importance in upholding international law and supporting Kyiv's sovereignty and territorial integrity. This marked the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992.

President Zelenskyy appreciated that PM Modi began his visit by honoring the memory of Ukrainian children who lost their lives in the war. He expressed gratitude for India's humanitarian aid throughout the conflict. Zelenskyy took to social media platform X to highlight the wide-ranging discussions with PM Modi, including Russia's aggression and the essential need for a just peace.

Zelenskyy underscored the importance of global actors clearly expressing their stance and visiting Ukraine to show support. He noted India's commitment to international law and involvement in the Peace Formula and Peace Summit. Four intergovernmental documents were signed to strengthen bilateral ties, covering military, agricultural, medical, and cultural cooperation.

Prime Minister Modi concluded his visit on a note emphasizing dialogue as the only solution to the conflict. Modi reaffirmed India's readiness to play an active role in promoting peace and progress.
