Torrential rains have claimed the lives of at least 22 individuals and left several others injured over the past 24 hours in Pakistan, according to Geo News. The intense downpour has led to significant destruction of life, property, and infrastructure.

Various provinces, including Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and Balochistan, have experienced severe flooding in rivers and streams, as well as landslides in mountainous areas. Nine people have died in KP, with four fatalities reported today in Karak city due to flooding. Rescue teams recovered the victims' bodies from the waters.

In KP's North Waziristan district, a house collapse injured several people, including women and children. Sindh's Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported another fatality, while Balochistan emerged as the hardest-hit province with 12 deaths reported in various incidents. Rainwater has inundated low-lying areas in cities like Dadu and Mirpur Khas. In Dadu's Johi tehsil, recent bridges developed cracks due to the heavy flow of floodwater, and major rivers like Gaj and Sol are experiencing high-level flooding. Heavy rains also submerged roads and low-lying areas in Balochistan, although some localities escaped the worst effects.
