Jan Christen of UAE Team Emirates scored a spectacular solo win at the Ordizia Classic in Northern Spain. The 20-year-old cyclist attacked with 10 km to go and maintained his lead throughout the 166 km race, which commenced and concluded in Ordizia.

Securing his third victory of the season, Christen managed to hold off the chasing peloton on the challenging Alto de Abaltzisketa. The focus now shifts to the Olympic Games, where several UAE Team Emirates riders will compete for their respective nations.

In parallel, the Czech Tour started with Sebastian Molano sprinting to a commendable fifth place, trailing stage winner Luke Lamperti of Soudal Quickstep.
