The Pakistan Flour Mills group has decided to postpone its strike after sources suggested that the deadlock with the government has ended, reported ARY News on Saturday. Asim Raza, Chairman of the Pakistan Flour Mills Association, announced the postponement following a government committee's deal with the association.

The Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and four federal ministers conducted a critical meeting with members of the Flour Mills Association. During the discussions, the group voiced concerns over the implementation of the withholding tax, according to ARY News. Sources reported that the FBR Chairman has agreed to consider abolishing the withholding tax on flour mills.

As a result, the Flour Mills Association has accepted the government's proposal to postpone the strike. A follow-up meeting between the government committee and the Pakistan Flour Mills Association is scheduled for Thursday next week to finalize the withholding tax issue. (ANI)
