Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that his government will cover all medical expenses for individuals suffering from serious illnesses, ensuring access to top-tier hospitals. The commitment was made during a Janata Darshan programme held in Gorakhpur.
Adityanath's visit included meeting about 150 citizens at the Gorakhpur Temple. Before leaving for the Jharkhand Assembly election campaign in Mirzapur, he ordered a swift issuance of Ayushman cards to eligible people lacking financial resources, promising that adequate funds will be allocated from the Chief Minister's Discretionary Fund.
The Chief Minister assured the public that their problems would be resolved with sensitivity and seriousness, directing officials to act promptly on grievances while warning against negligence. A case highlighted involved a woman's struggle with medical expenses at a private hospital, which Adityanath resolved by ensuring government coverage of the costs.
