Rajasthan's Healthcare Leap: PM Modi and CM Sharma Unveil Infrastructure Boost

The Rajasthan government is undertaking significant efforts to upgrade healthcare facilities, stated Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Tuesday. Speaking via videoconference during a programme attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sharma emphasized the goal of reaching every needy individual with improved medical services.
Prime Minister Modi, marking the occasion of Ayurveda Day, inaugurated and laid the foundation for healthcare projects totaling approximately Rs 12,850 crore, with initiatives spanning several states including Rajasthan. Chief Minister Sharma joined the programme remotely from RBM Hospital in Bharatpur, highlighting Rajasthan's focus on critical care.
Projects under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) include the establishment of critical care blocks in district hospitals and medical colleges in diverse regions such as Bharatpur, Dholpur, and Churu. Equipped with ICU beds and emergency facilities, these blocks aim to elevate emergency healthcare capabilities across the state.
