Modi Unveils Healthcare Facilities in Assam: A Boost for AIIMS and NIPER

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday virtually inaugurated a series of new medical and research facilities at the AIIMS-Guwahati and the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER).
The developments at AIIMS-Guwahati include a radiotherapy block, MRI 3T, a dexa scan unit, an auditorium, biplane units, and night shelter provisions, significantly enhancing healthcare services in Assam's Kamrup district.
In addition to infrastructure advancements, the Prime Minister launched development projects with a staggering investment of Rs 12,850 crore and extended the government's flagship health insurance scheme, 'Ayushman Bharat,' to all senior citizens aged 70 and above, marking a notable extension of healthcare benefits.
