Warfare Fallout: Families Seek Shelter in Gaza's Graveyards
The Al-Qassas family, displaced by ongoing conflict, is living in a cemetery in the southern Gaza Strip, depending on scant food donations for survival. The humanitarian crisis worsens daily with crucial shortages persisting across Gaza, and international peace efforts so far prove unsuccessful.
In the southern Gaza Strip, the Al-Qassas family finds refuge in a cemetery, living off sporadic food donations as they adapt to life in a makeshift shelter. Originally from Gaza City, they are among numerous displaced families in Khan Younis.
'Look at the terrifying conditions for the children,' lamented Abu Razzak Al-Qassas. Most of Gaza's population suffers from displacement due to Israeli military incursions, with many families forced to relocate multiple times.
Critical aid is dwindling, and severe shortages permeate Gaza, raising international alarm. The U.S. has cautioned Israel to ameliorate Gaza's humanitarian condition, warning of potential impacts on military aid. As winter looms, these makeshift shelters offer little protection for the displaced.
