A man with mental disabilities climbed a high-voltage electricity pole in Delhi's Shahdara area on Wednesday, prompting an emergency response, according to police reports.

Identified as Madhusudan Vishwas, the individual was rescued by a swift team from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), who responded immediately to the crisis at 10:30 am after receiving an alert from locals.

Following his safe descent, police confirmed that initial investigations showed the man to be unstable mentally. Authorities have called in a psychiatrist for consultations to assess his condition further.
