In a harrowing incident, three minor sisters, including an infant, have lost their lives to a diarrhoea outbreak in Bishanpur Sangam village over the past three days, as confirmed by local officials on Tuesday.

District Magistrate Neha Sharma informed PTI that medical teams are stationed in the village, and an extensive cleanliness drive is underway to curb the outbreak. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rashmi Verma identified the deceased as Shiva (2), and sisters Pallavi (8) and Chanchal (20 days), daughters of Mahesh Datt and Ganesh Datt respectively.

Those hospitalized include Shraddha (4), Sunita (45), Anita Tiwari (40), Aman (22), Deep Shikha (22), and Aadarsh (16), all reported to be in serious but stable condition. Verma stated that health department teams are spraying disinfectants and urging villagers to maintain hygiene. Officials at the block level are ensuring critical patients receive adequate medical care.
