In a groundbreaking move, HarvestPlus Solutions and COFCO International India launched the Nutri-Pathshala Model in Punjab and Haryana on September 9th, aimed at tackling micronutrient deficiencies among school-age children. This initiative is set to transform school feeding programs by incorporating biofortified grains into daily meals, enriching them with essential nutrients like Iron Pearl Millet and Zinc Wheat.

According to Mr. Arun Baral, CEO of HarvestPlus Solutions, the Nutri-Pathshala program represents a significant step toward enhancing the nutritional landscape for children in these regions. The program not only focuses on providing nutrient-rich meals but also includes Nutri-Dabba for nutritious meal packs, Nutri-Diary for dietary tracking, and Arogya Club for health education, creating a comprehensive wellness framework.

Ms. Ravinder Kaur, District Education Officer, highlighted the holistic approach of the initiative, which aims to nurture both the body and mind of students. The program's launch is further bolstered by significant support from partners including Ray Welfare Trust, Arti Mills, and BLKS, ensuring a robust implementation and sustainable impact on school nutrition across Punjab and Haryana.
