The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has seen a dramatic 94% reduction in dengue cases this year, compared to the same period last year, official data revealed on Friday.

As per the data, only seven dengue cases have been recorded till August 29 this year, sharply down from the 131 cases reported during the same timeframe in 2022. Additionally, there has been only one case of Chikungunya last year and none this year, while malaria cases remained constant at one for both years.

The NDMC has issued 1,679 notices where mosquito breeding was detected and 104 challans have been issued to date, according to the report.
