Tragic End: Medical Student Found Hanging in Assam

A 24-year-old student of Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) was discovered hanging at his residence in Assam's Cachar district, authorities reported on Wednesday.

According to a senior police officer, the final-year student was found in his room on Tuesday night, prompting immediate police notification. The police discovered two hand-written notes, which family members confirmed were written by the student.

The notes indicated the student's struggle with acute depression and asserted that no one was responsible for his death. The police will examine the notes thoroughly. Further investigations are underway, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, the officer added.
