UNICEF Commends West Bengal’s Healthcare Model

Representatives from UNICEF met with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday to explore collaborative opportunities in tackling non-communicable diseases among children.
Following the high-level meeting at Nabanna, Banerjee announced that UNICEF has praised West Bengal's model for treating Type 1 Diabetes patients and is eager to expand cooperation in the realm of children's non-communicable diseases.
''It is gratifying that our efforts are being acknowledged and that UNICEF seeks intensive cooperation with us. West Bengal stands as a model for other countries,'' Banerjee stated.
