Veteran actor and TMC Member of Parliament Shatrughan Sinha, who was hospitalized last week due to a high fever, has returned home, confirmed his son, Luv Sinha, on Wednesday.

The 77-year-old actor, known for iconic roles in '70s and '80s films such as 'Kalicharan,' 'Vishwanath,' 'Kaala Patthar,' 'Jaani Dushman,' and 'Kranti,' was discharged on Tuesday after undergoing routine check-ups.

'My father has been home since yesterday and was there (at the hospital) for three days to recover from a high fever and get all his tests done,' Luv told PTI in a WhatsApp message.

Sinha also shared a series of photos from his hospital room on X, dispelling social media rumors about his health and enjoying time with family and friends as he recovered.

There had been speculation about Sinha's health right after his daughter, Sonakshi Sinha, tied the knot with longtime partner Zaheer Iqbal. Rumors also suggested that Sinha had undergone minor surgery, which his son Luv refuted.

Previously, Luv expressed gratitude towards well-wishers for their concern, clarifying that his father had been admitted to the hospital due to a 'strong fever,' not surgery.

Last month, Sinha was elected as the TMC MP for West Bengal's Asansol constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
