In a commendable operation, Hyderabad Police's Cyber Crime Unit refunded Rs 9,50,531 to a local businessman who fell prey to cyber fraud. The announcement was made in a press release by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crimes.

The 32-year-old victim was coaxed into transferring the amount to fraudsters posing as business partners. The Cyber Crime Unit quickly registered the case under several sections of the IT Act and BNS, moving swiftly to resolve it.

Inspector K Prasada Rao, with his team, tracked the culprits to Dwarka, New Delhi, where they were apprehended. The case serves as a crucial reminder to verify the authenticity of business offers, avoid upfront fees, and report suspicious activities to authorities promptly.
