Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday reiterated his commitment to supporting the family of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Gautam, who tragically lost his life in the Mauganj violence incident. Yadav provided financial aid amounting to Rs 1 crore to Gautam's widow, Pushpa, and assured that an eligible family member would receive a government job. He directed the Director General of Police to initiate the recruitment process for this purpose.

The incident occurred in Gadra village, Mauganj district, where Gautam died while on duty. CM Yadav engaged with Gautam's wife, son, and nephew during a meeting, assuring them of the state's full support. Earlier, he referred to the incident as 'unfortunate' and confirmed that stringent measures would be taken against those responsible, without any leniency.

In a statement, CM Yadav conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family, highlighting the swift response by senior police officials who managed to control the situation.
