Political Tensions Erupt in Agra Following Controversial Remarks

Agra witnessed chaos as Karni Sena members attacked the residence of Samajwadi Party MP Ramji Lal Suman after his remarks against the historical figure Rana Sanga. The incident led to allegations against the state government and demands for a stricter stance against such violence, deepening political tensions.

The Agra Police confirmed that the vandalism and stone-pelting outside Samajwadi Party MP Ramji Lal Suman's residence involved Karni Sena members. According to ACP Agra Sanjeev Tyagi, the violence followed Suman's controversial remarks about Rana Sanga, leading to broken windows and damaged vehicles.

Amid allegations, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav accused UP CM Yogi Adityanath of allowing the chaos, reflecting deeper political strife. Yadav condemned the attack on Suman, a prominent Dalit MP, as particularly serious, questioning the state's purported zero-tolerance policy toward violence.

Reacting strongly, BJP's Amit Malviya shifted blame toward Yadav, suggesting his support for Suman's remarks incited the outrage. Complementing these tensions, SP leaders called for accountability and urged the government to curb divisive elements to restore peace in Uttar Pradesh.
