China and Russia Support Iran Amid US Nuclear Tensions
China and Russia back Iran against U.S. demands for nuclear talks, emphasizing dialogue based on mutual respect and lifting all sanctions. They welcome Iran's peaceful nuclear intentions while criticizing U.S. withdrawal from the 2015 pact. Tehran refuses negotiations under pressure, urging the U.S. to show sincerity.

China and Russia have reaffirmed their support for Iran amid demands from the United States for nuclear negotiations with Tehran. The two nations called for dialogue rooted in "mutual respect" while insisting that all sanctions on Iran must be lifted.
The joint statement, following talks in Beijing with Iranian officials, reiterated Iran's commitment to a peaceful nuclear program. It emphasized Iran's right to nuclear energy for peaceful purposes should be "fully" respected.
The current tensions stem from the U.S.'s withdrawal from a 2015 nuclear deal that saw Iran limit its nuclear program in exchange for sanction relief. China, Russia, and Iran urge the U.S. to address the root causes and abandon sanctions and threats.
