The Budget session of the Delhi Assembly is slated from March 24 to 28, with the budget presentation scheduled for March 25. According to a statement by the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the session will commence on March 24 at 11 A.M. in the Assembly Hall, Old Secretariat, Delhi. The session dates are tentatively set from March 24-28, subject to business requirements.
The Legislative Assembly sittings will begin at 11 A.M. each day, continuing until adjournment. Daywise agenda includes government business on March 24, budget presentation on March 25, a general discussion on March 26, and budget consideration and passing on March 27. The session will conclude on March 28 with private members' bills and resolutions.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited Parliament to meet Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, confirming the meeting via a social media post. Gupta has also been actively seeking public input for the budget, engaging with residents and business leaders for their suggestions as part of her outreach efforts.
Alongside budget preparations, significant transfers of officers have been announced by the Services department of the Government of NCT. Key officials, including Raghu Nath, Arun Kumar Prasad, and Kanwal Bala Saneja, have been assigned to the Legislative Assembly Secretariat to undertake their new roles immediately as per the notification.
