Himachal Pradesh Assembly Gears Up for Smooth Budget Session

The Budget Session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly kicked off on Monday at 2:00 PM, helmed by Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania. The session opened with a formal address by the Governor. More than 1000 questions have already been submitted by Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), according to Speaker Pathania.

Pathania informed that the questions have been forwarded to respective departments for detailed responses. He assured that the proceedings, beginning with Question Hour, will tackle various constituency issues. Cooperation from both ruling and opposition parties is anticipated for a smooth session, which is slated to continue until March 28.

The session's daily start time of 2:00 PM accommodates MLAs traveling from far. Discussions include potentially rescheduling Saturday sessions for member convenience. Pathania emphasized addressing all member concerns, promising ample time for discussions. The Business Advisory Committee will finalize the session's schedule with a focus on constructive legislative debates for Himachal Pradesh's advancement.
