Opposition Leader Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday took issue with the way the Governor's address was reported, asserting it was misleadingly presented in some Hindi newspapers as blaming the Centre for Himachal Pradesh's financial woes.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh dismissed claims of media intimidation, clarifying that the address was a government document approved by the cabinet. He stated that the headlines were not directly created by reporters.

Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania acknowledged the matter and said actions would be taken if necessary. Meanwhile, Thakur accused the government of applying pressure on the media and filing FIRs against journalists. He criticized the address as lacking in achievements besides significant debt accumulation.
