Growth capital firm Playbook Partners is setting its sights on investing $20 million in each of about 12-15 high-potential companies over the next two years, as stated by a leading company official. This ambitious plan comes as the firm continues to expand its investment portfolio, which already includes renowned companies such as Myntra, PolicyBazaar, and SpaceX.

Founder and Managing Partner Vikas Choudhury shared that the focus will be on ventures across SaaS, E-commerce, Healthtech, and ClimateTech sectors. Choudhury, a former Jio president, highlighted that their strategy leans towards growth capital, setting them apart from traditional venture capital firms that tend to invest early and hold positions for a minimum of 10-12 years.

Choudhury further explained their criteria for investment, emphasizing the importance of scale, quality of profit and loss, and technological advancements. With India's rapid digital growth, Choudhury sees vast opportunities for emerging businesses to thrive both domestically and internationally.
