Government Boosts DAP Fertilizer Access with Special Package

In a significant move to support farmers, the government has approved a one-time special package totaling up to Rs 3,850 crore. This financial aid aims to maintain the cost of Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer at Rs 1,350 per 50 kg bag, ensuring it remains affordable for farmers.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The initiative will span the January-December 2025 period, as revealed by Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
