A carbon dioxide leak unfolded at the Ajmera Oxygen Plant in Jaipur, Rajasthan, when a storage tank's valve malfunctioned, as confirmed by officials. Upon receiving the alert at 4:08 pm, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) swiftly mobilized and arrived at the scene, encountering visibility reduced to zero over a 200-meter radius.

Guided by instructions from the Deputy Controller of Civil Security in Jaipur, the SDRF team managed to close the main valve, effectively halting the CO2 leakage. Amit Sharma, Deputy Controller at Civil Defence, reassured the public that the situation was quickly mitigated, emphasizing there were no casualties.

"During routine maintenance, a CO2 tank washer failed, causing the release," Sharma stated, while confirming that no lives were at risk and the plant resumed normal operations without further incident. (ANI)
